PADI Rescue Diver and the accompanying Emergency First Response is probably the most important courses a diver can take after completing his or her Open Water and Advanced certificates.
Despite the seriousness of the subject matter, the rescue course is also a lot of fun. But most importantly it leaves you with the confidence to handle a diving emergency. The rescue course teaches you to organize a search, how to rescue a panicked or unresponsive diver and how to recognize and manage stress in divers.
Participants also learn CPR and first aid, how to use a defibrillator and how to take care of a sick or injured person - very useful skills even in your every day world. Get this story for your magazine! With this 1.200 word story you can tell your readers about the experience of taking part in this important course, and inspire them to become safer divers.
