X-Ray Magazine has devoted five full pages to this feature, telling the full story about the strange, ominous-looking deep-sea helmet jelly Periphylla periphylla.

The feature highlights diving with this 500 million year old jellyfish, which normally lives from several hundreds to a few thousand meters deep.

But once a year, in the middle of the winter, in the middle of the night, they come to the surface to mate... and you can encounter them at diveable depths.

There is little doubt that this is one of the more extreme and exotic encounters you can have under water, and the story tells you all about it!

Great reach

X-Ray Magazine has a readership of 157.000 people in over 80 countries, and news of every new issue is posted on 1.500 different websites and blogs world wide, according to their advertising facts.

This means that many people will get to know more about the Periphylla, which is good news for the upcoming Periphylla Safari at Gulen Dive Resort on the Norwegian west coast.
