Gulen story in Mexico

Latin America's premier diving magazine Espacio Profundo #114 is out, and Mexican readers can look forward to something completely out of the ordinary - about diving at Gulen Dive resort in Norway.

I am thrilled that the editors liked my story about the spectacular wreck diving and the amazing marine life at Gulen Dive Resort on the Norwegian west coast so much that they decided to run something out of the ordinary.

The story is featured on the cover of the magazine, and they have made a very nice 8-page spread. This is the first time I have been published in Mexico.

The twin wrecks of Ferndale and Parat is just one of several spectacular wreck dives offered by Gulen Dive Resort. They have a total of 20+ wrecks on their menu!

Espacio Profundo is the official DAN (Divers Alert Network) magazine for Latin America, and cooperate with dive education organisations PADI and SSI.

The magazine has been published bi-monthly since 1994, and has a circulation of approximately 11.000. Divers can get Espacio Profundo at newsstands and in diveshops all across Mexico.

The nut crab Ebalia tumefacta is one of the small critters observant divers may see at the house reef of Gulen Dive Resort. Measuring just 10 mm across the carapace, this is definitely a macro subject.

I'm very happy that Mexican divers get to know more about diving in Norway - although I doubt there will be an armada of them arriving at our shores anytime soon...

Anyway, I think it is bold of Espacio Profundo to help expand the horizon of their readers like this. Please visit their website to read more and sign up for a subscription.
