Gulen story in China

The August 2012 issue of the Chinese dive magazine EZdive is out, and their readers can enjoy a 12-page spread about diving at Gulen Dive Resort on the Norwegian west coast.

Posted on Aug 23, 2012

Produced in Singapore, EZdive is the World's first bilingual dive magazine - it is printed in both English and Chinese.

One of the main features in their August 2012 issue is my story about the spectacular wrecks and rich marine life at Gulen Dive Resort entitled 'Glorious Gulen', which they run on a 12-page spread.

A Flabellina lineata nudibranch, photographed on the house reef of Gulen Dive Resort during the Nudibranchs Safari in 2012.

The article features images of the wrecks Frankenwald, Fernedale and Parat, as well as a couple of nudibranchs and a jellyfish.

There has unfortunately been some misunderstandings regarding the captions. Some of them are wrong, but EZdive said they will print a correction in their next issue.

Still, I am very happy to have such a big feature and a cover published in China!

Pan-Asian and then some

EZdive is published bi-monthly in 18 countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, The Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New-Guinea, The Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Guam, Kuwait, Mauritius and Japan.

I think it's great that divers in Asia get to know more about diving in Norway, and who knows - maybe some of them will visit Gulen one day?

EZdive also run the world's largest Chinese diving information portal online.
