Shooting black backgrounds is not necessarily very hard - but it can be very rewarding. The subjects stand out in a spectacular way, letting their brilliant colors shine unhindered.

On an 8-page spread, Scuba Diver TTL relays my tips and tricks on how to shoot black backgrounds, in what I hope is a both entertaining and educational story.

You don't have to go on a night dive to get black backgrounds, although it certainly makes it easier. But if you know how to tweak the settings on your camera you can easily achieve the same effect during daytime too.
