Is it Africa? Or the Caribbean?

None of them - it's in the middle! Far off the coast of Senegal, Cape Verde is a tropical Atlantic paradise with great diving opportunities. If you want to know more, pick up the December 2014 issue of German magazine Tauchen.

Who knew there was a tropical paradise in the middle of the Atlantic ocean? Not too many, actually - but Cape Verde is a destination that deserves far more credit and attention than it has gotten thus far.

Located in the midst of the Atlantic ocean currents, the marine life is plentiful and strangely mixed: Divers will recognize both Caribbean and Mediterranean species, swimming side-by-side across the coral-covered volcanic seabed.

If you pick up the December 2014 issue of the German dive magazine Tauchen, you can read all about it on a 6-page spread!

Cape Verde offers big schools of fish, wrecks, endemic nudibranchs - and spectacular caverns littered with sandtiger shark teeth. The cavern diving is some of the best I've seen anywhere, and it's easily accessible even for Open Water divers.

As usual, Tauchen have also made a promotion video for this issue - featuring my story:

Biggest in Europe

Tauchen is Europe's biggest dive magazine with a printed circulation of almost 40.000 and an impressive estimated readership of 400.000, according to media data available on the Jahr Top Special Verlag homepage.

Tauchen have been inspiring divers since 1978, and it's a great pleasure and honor to be published in this great magazine once again.

The magazine is available both in print and as a digital edition. Please visit their website to purchase the magazine or sign up for a subscription.
