The Wrecks of Malta

With spectacular wrecks and almost unreal visibility, Malta offers some of the best diving in the Mediterranean. We visited some of the most well-known wrecks at this classic dive destination.

So begins this story about wreck diving on Malta - and it will make your readers want to call their travel agent first thing in the morning!

I had the pleasure of photographing the wrecks of Um El Fahroud, P-29 Boltenhagen, HMS Maori, Rozi and two aircraft wrecks - the spectacular Bristol Blenheim bomber (above) and the Bristol Beuafighter outside St. Julian.

Malta is close, convenient and always an interesting read for divers. Get in touch today to get the full story and images.

Malta offers fantastic visibility and a great number of wrecks. Visiting divers may enjoy both historic WWII aircraft and ship wrecks, as well as more recent sinkings - some of them intentional.

Malta is always interesting, no matter the time of year. The great visibility and many attractive wrecks makes this a top class dive destination.

The neighbouring island of Gozo also offers a few great wrecks, in addition to some of the best cavern diving in the world.

The MV Cominoland, a former passenger ferry, was sunk off the coast of Gozo with divers in mind. This wreck is part of the extended story.

The image database contains 70+ high-res images. Some of them very suitable for the cover, so take a good look!

If you want a story with a broader scope than just the Maltese wrecks, you don't have to look any further: A longer version of the story also covers the spectacular cavern diving at Gozo - as well as some macro life and two more wrecks.
