The North East Atlantic offers an abundance of colorful and interesting nudibranchs, and although there are fewer species than the tropics they are no less spectacular:
Around one hundred different species are present in this part of the world - and because of seasonal changes they sometimes occur in the thousands. Together with nudibranch experts from universities and museums across Europe, you will learn more about identification, feeding habits, biology and behavior. We set up a field laboratory with literature, stereoscope and other equipment for studying nudibranchs. The experts hold daily lectures and the workshop are is open to everyone. Naturally, all collection of nudibranchs is done carefully and we let them back in the water afterwards. Citizen science has become more and more popular in recent years, and at the Nudibranch Safari you not only get the opportunity to learn about nudibranchs, but also about how scientists work.
