Eh? Clownfish cover?

The January 2015 issue of Tauchen has just hit the newsstands, featuring my image of a fire clown fish from the Philippines on the cover.

Posted on Dec 9, 2014

For the second time this year, German dive magazine Tauchen chose one of my images for their cover - this time a fire clownfish (Amphiprion melanopus) which I shot just off Alona Beach in the Philippines back in 2008.

The included booklet about the Azores Islands covers some of the text, giving the cover a quite catchy "EH?" which actually goes quite well with the expression of the clownfish.

Maybe this is part of the reason they chose this image? Anyway, Tauchen has released this promotion video for magazine:

According to Wikipedia, the fire clownfish is also known as cinnamon clownfish, and it is chiefly found in the western and southern parts of the Pacific Ocean.

This widely distributed species can also be found in more central parts of the Pacific Ocean.

Biggest in Europe

Tauchen is Europe's biggest dive magazine with a printed circulation of almost 40.000 and an impressive estimated readership of 340.000, according to media data available on the Jahr Top Special Verlag homepage.

The magazine is available both in print and as a digital edition. Please visit their website to purchase the magazine or sign up for a subscription.
