Nudibranchs are among the most popular marine creatures, especially among underwater photographers - and more and more divers want to learn more about them.

The North East Atlantic offers an abundance of colorful and interesting nudibranchs, and although there are fewer species than the tropics they are no less spectacular:

These are some of the beatiful nudibranch species found in Norway. Join the Nudibranch Safari and learn more about them!

Around one hundred different species are present in this part of the world - and because of seasonal changes they sometimes occur in the thousands.

Once a year, ScubaPixel and Gulen Dive Resort offer a Nudibranch Safari, where you get the chance to learn more about these wonderful critters.

We dive exclusively for nudibranchs on the famous house reef of Gulen Dive Resort, where a staggering 72 different species have been found so far.

Want to see this spectacular nudibranch? You can at the Nudibranch Safari! The Eubranchus farrani is just one of 70+ species found so far.

Together with nudibranch experts from universities and museums across Europe, you will learn more about identification, feeding habits, biology and behavior.

We set up a field laboratory with literature, stereoscope and other equipment for studying nudibranchs. The experts hold daily lectures and the workshop are is open to everyone.

Naturally, all collection of nudibranchs is done carefully and we let them back in the water afterwards.

Citizen science has become more and more popular in recent years, and at the Nudibranch Safari you not only get the opportunity to learn about nudibranchs, but also about how scientists work.

The Nudibranch Safari has become an important event for them, with new and interesting discoveries being made every year. We have found several new species for Norway, and description of completely new species for science is under way.
