The area at the mouth of the famous Sognefjord on the Norwegian west coast was of great strategic importance during WWII, and the area is virtually littered with wrecks. Posted on Nov 5, 2013 Hovering above the stern of the might Frankenwald, which almost resembles the conning tower of a giant submarine, is a truly awesome experience. Or how about sinking below the stern of the huge Ferndale, only to discover that there is a smaller wreck just next to her - the rescue steamer Parat?
